The Zombie Survival Guide is a book written by Max Brooks that gives advice on how to survive a zombie apocalypse. Advice ranges from weapons to use, vehicles to drive, shelters to find and how to last as long as possible. It was released in 2003 and was followed by a fictional sequel, World War Z.
Chapter 1: 'The Undead: Myths and Realities' Edit
The first chapter details the 'rules'. A description of the behaviors and traits of the Solanum virus and Zombies. Including the source of the virus, symptoms, transmission and treatment. It also describes the zombies' abilities (sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch), healing, decomposition, digestion, respiration, circulation, reproduction, strength, speed, agility, intelligence, emotions, memories, needs, communications, social life, hunting, motivation, killing, disposal, domestication and the severity of outbreaks.
